This will be my 3rd year teaching and I wish I would have discovered this sooner. I used the free trial last school year and it was a total game changer! My lessons went smoother, I felt more organized, and I felt like a better teacher.

Common Curriculum is my go-to for lesson planning. I love the personalization of the templates and being able to add things that work for me and remove what doesn't. I also love that I can download my lesson plans directly to send to my admin. I don't know how I survived before Common Curriculum!

I love common curriculum! I love that I can plan anywhere - from home, in the car, in a coffee shop - and then have access to everything I need as soon as the school day starts. I also love how easy it is to share my lesson plans with the substitute or paraprofessional.

Common Curriculum has made it much easier for me to plan - for regular days, sub plans, and remote instruction - and to share it with my co-teacher so she knows how she can best support our students. I also love the ease with which I can change plans if a lesson goes differently than expected.

I love the convenience of an online planning platform. I can share with my colleagues, make changes easily without crossing things out or erasing, and I can set up the template the way I want and change it if I find a need to do so. If I get sick, I can quickly access and update my plans from home, download a pdf of the day's plans, and send them to my school's secretary to be printed for the sub. There are lots of reasons to love Common Curriculum!

My Common Curriculum Planbook keeps me sane! I love having all my plans in one place and having access to my plans across any device. The flexibility and functionality is amazing. I recommend it to all my teacher friends!

When you think about your favorite teachers from your school days, what comes to mind? Was it that funny song they always sang to get you ready for the hall? Their goofy jokes? The feeling they truly cared about you?

As teachers, we are always looking for ways to motivate students to love reading. We all know the rewards of reading are immense; aside from enhancing our communication skills, it also helps reduce stress. Nevertheless, many children still cringe at the thought of reading. How can we change that?

ACSD is extremely proud of Dixie High School's Mrs. Elizabeth Crocker! The January Teacher Cadet Spotlight is on Elizabeth, who teaches English and the Teacher Cadet program at Dixie High. "I really love watching my Cadets come into their own as teachers. I love watching them process their own educational experiences and use those reflections to inspire their own teaching." She is very involved in helping to develop some of the best student teachers and we are grateful to have her leadership. Elizabeth is making a difference.
